MACKENZIE Gibbs, a young swimmer from Cowwarr Primary School, has her sights set on the Australian Swimming Championships.

The 12-year-old trains with the Sale Swimming Club.

Mackenzie represented Victoria in the multiclass swimming section of the School Sport Australia swimming championships, racing eight individual events and two relays. She swam eight personal bests in her individual events, making five finals. Mackenzie swam in the Victorian multiclass relay teams, coming away with a bronze medal in the 4x50m freestyle and fourth in the 4x50m medley relay.

Mackenzie would like to thank her school for all their support, and Sale Swimming Club and Aqua Energy for enabling her to train.

Her sights are now set on the Australian swimming championships in Brisbane in 2025.
