WELLINGTON Athletic Club capped off a very successful track and field season with outstanding results at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships, held in Brisbane from April 13 to 16.

In total, Wellington achieved one silver medal and two bronze.

Highlights of the event were from Lachlan Rosato, who placed second in the Under 14 400m with a time of 56.34; Grace Graafsma, third in the Under 15 3000m in a personal best time of 10:01.10; and Kaydene Fleming, third in the Under 15 400m in a personal best time of 57.96.

There was very-high representation and outstanding results from a very small regional club competing against the best athletes from across the country.

The club is said to be exceptionally proud of the efforts of the achievements of all the athletes.

The athletes are very grateful for the expertise and support that they all receive from their coaches, Denis and Craig Huffer.
