Sale United Football Club is getting right behind the Women’s World Cup by bringing in two new programs, offering females the opportunity to get involved in football on a social level.
Returning after a few years on the back burner as a result of COVID, ‘GO GIRLS’ is designed for girls aged 11 to 15 to experience, learn and practice football in an inclusive, fun, all-girl environment.
No experience is necessary – girls can play this social format of the game with all levels of experience and all levels of fitness.
‘GO GIRLS’ being social means that it is a more flexible and less structured football game with an emphasis on fun, social interactions and enjoyment rather than performance, results and competition.
SUFC will host ‘GO GIRLS’ every Monday for four weeks, commencing Monday, January 23.
‘GO SOCCER MUMS’ is coming to Sale for the first time and is a female-only social program that is not just for mums, but for all women of all walks of life.
It is all about having fun, meeting new people, and learning basic football skills in a social, judgement-free environment; no experience is necessary, and anybody can participate.
SUFC encourages ‘GO SOCCER MUMS’ ladies to bring a friend or just come along and make some new friends.
The program will be hosted every Wednesday, commencing February 1 and concluding on March 8.
‘GO GIRLS’ and ‘GO SOCCER MUMS’ participants are able to register online at: https://www.gofootball.com.au/play/pick-your-location/sale-united-fc
