THE 16 finalists for the 2023 Gippsland Primary Health Awards represent a broad range of primary care services and programs across the region.
The awards celebrate and acknowledge the work of health professionals and organisations in Gippsland, with the winners to be announced at Gippsland Primary Health Network’s annual meeting and awards event in Traralgon on Wednesday, November 15. Gippsland PHN Acting Chief Executive, Angela Jacob congratulated the finalists and praised all the entries in this year’s awards, which demonstrated the outstanding services and programs being delivered to improve the health outcomes of the community.
“Every day, people are going above and beyond to ensure our Gippsland community stays safe and their health and wellbeing is improved,” she said.
“It is important we celebrate their amazing work.”
Yarram and District Health Service Dialysis Unit is a finalist in the category of Health, and Rural Financial Counselling Service Gippsland (Maffra) in the category of Prevention.
The categories are:
Populations – creative ways of engaging with communities;
Health – commitment to improving quality of care;
Service – improving the health system, and;
Prevention – demonstrating innovation.
