Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision near Velore Road, Kilmany on Thursday morning.
It is understood two vehicles collided on Princes Highway about 6.15am.
The male driver of one of the cars was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the other vehicle was not injured however taken to hospital for observation.
For a number of hours, Princes Highway was closed both ways due to the collision.
