Member for Morwell Russell Northe faced misconduct charges brought about by the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission in the Latrobe Magistrates Court on Monday.
Mr Northe was not present, represented by his lawyer Mark Woods.
Russell John Northe is facing 45 charges relating to allegedly falsifying documents between 2018 and 2020 in his term as Member for the Legislative Assembly.
The charges include wilful misconduct for expenditure returns to the Victorian Electoral Commission based on false information.
He will face a committal mention in the Latrobe Magistrates Court on January 13, 2023.
The retiring MP will not re-contest this year’s state election.
