Kids snatch money from charity tin

POLICE are seeking witnesses, after a brazen theft from charity in Maffra on Tuesday afternoon.

Two male youths, described as about 11 or 12 years of age, on scooters, approached women collecting for the Maffra Hospital Auxiliary in front of Woolworths in Johnson St.

In an attempt to appear intimidating, one of the youths held up his fist at the women, before snatching $10 from the charity collection till.

The two then departed on scooters, in a westerly direction along Little Johnson St.

One of the youths was described as about 140 centimetres tall, slim and wearing a blue t-shirt, with wavy blonde hair.

The other was allegedly about 150cm tall, slim, with straight dark hair and wearing dark clothing.
