Cancer Council volunteer Linda Curtis said the event was a “huge success”, with more than 85 people attending and over $3000 raised for the Cancer Council.

She expressed her thanks to the local community, including those who volunteered their time to organise and help out on the day; those who purchased entry tickets and raffle tickets; and those who donated items for raffle prizes and various products to sell at the produce table.

A variety of sandwiches and slices were served to attendees.

The Genny on Guthridge, Val’s Bridal Boutique, Jen’s Flowers and Seaspray General Store were also thanked for their support, as was Lakeside Club for donating their venue and catering.

Ms Curtis said the generous monetary contributions will help fund vital research and prevention programs, and help the Cancer Council to continue supporting those impacted by the disease.
