Returning for the first time in two years, 400 students, joined by their parents and guardians, gathered together for the 2022 Catholic College Sale Awards Night.

COVID constraints forced the awards night online in 2020 and 2021, thus having this year’s award night onsite made for an especially memorable evening, with 2023 College captains performing well as ‘Masters of Ceremony’.

Catholic College Sale showcased its impressive musical talent, as Year 12 student Ella McCubbin, the CCS Show Choir, the Instrumental Ensemble, and the Liturgical Choir took the stage for their respective performances.

Former Catholic College Sale student and 2021 Dux recipient, Madison Connors, made a cameo appearance taking on the role of presenting the 2022 Year level Dux recipients with their respective certificates.

“It was great to have Maddie back at the College as she spoke to our students about following their passions, whether that be in academic or other areas,” Catholic College Sale deputy principal of learning and teaching, Cindy Foat, said.

Year level Dux were Year 7 student Xavier Stringer, William Moore (Year 8), Madison Jones (Year 9), Annie Perkins (Year 10) and Ellie MacGregor (Year 11).

A distinguished guest, Catholic College Sale Ltd board chair, Leonie Keaney, also attended the awards night, held on Monday, December 5.

“Leonie commented on how amazing our students were and the breadth of our curriculum,” Ms Foat said.

“A major goal of the college is to celebrate students’ unique talents and create a caring, supportive environment to allow individuals to flourish; this was on show at the awards night.”

All students at Catholic College Sale can receive the Academic Excellence award, Academic Endeavour award, School Spirit award, and various community awards.
