Latrobe Valley Baseball Association got underway a fortnight ago.

Round 1 saw a wet start for the season, with Moe/Newborough Dodgers taking on Morwell Cougars and Churchill Braves playing Traralgon Redsox.

Sale had the bye.

Last Sunday, Churchill Braves took on Moe/Newborough Dodgers and Traralgon Redsox played Sale Rangers.

Traralgon hosted their annual McLean Cup for A Grade.

Traralgon seized victory in a dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off error at the end of the game.

The game was tied at three with the Redsox batting in the bottom of the 10th when an error scored the winning run for Traralgon.

Will Brooker led things off on the hill for Traralgon.

The hurler went four innings, allowing three runs on zero hits and striking out five.

Lachlan Wrigglesworth took the hill for Sale Rangers. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over nine innings, striking out seven.

Will Hector threw two-thirds of an innings in relief.

In the bottom of the ninth, Traralgon tied things up at three when Dillon singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The Redsox earned victory, winning the game 4-3.

Sale travels to Morwell this Sunday.
